Listening to the Holy Spirit
1. John 14:16-17... And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. 18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me. 25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
3. HE GUIDES US INTO ALL TRUTH
4. John 16:13... When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
5. A.W. Tozer... “No one can know truth except the one who obeys truth. You think you know truth. People memorize the Scriptures by the yard, but that is not a guarantee of knowing the truth. Truth is not a text. Truth is in the text, but it takes the text plus the Holy Spirit to bring truth to a human soul…”

6. 1 Corinthians 2:10... these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
7. Psalm 119:105... Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
8. Isaiah 30:21... And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
9. HE COMFORTS US
10. John 14:16... And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever
11. Romans 8:26... Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
12. John 14:27... Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
13. HE EMPOWERS US FOR MISSION
14. Acts 1:8... But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
15. 2 Timothy 1:7... for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
16. 1 Corinthians 12:7... To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
17. Ephesians 3:20... Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us...
18. THE SPIRIT...

COMFORTS YOU IN STRUGGLES
EMPOWERS YOU FOR MISSION
19. Luke 11:13... If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
